More Power For Towing And Hauling

No surprise that Super Duty™ Chassis Cab for 2022 improves upon its already top-rated performance with a strong line of engines. There's the available 7.3L OHV gas V8 as well as the available third-generation 6.7L Power Stroke™ V8 Turbo Diesel.

Best-In-Class Payload

Reducing body weight and making the frame eight times stiffer than before — together, these increase the payload in today’s generation of the Super Duty™ Chassis Cab. And that’s a big reason why it reaches a BIC 5,783 KG. maximum payload rating.*

Outstanding GCWR

Take the fully boxed under-cab and redesigned C-channel aft-of-cab frame built of high-strength steel - plus the heftier components of the suspension, chassis and driveline. Now add the outstanding hauling and towing capabilities of this Super Duty™ and you've got an impressive gross combination weight rating - 40,000 pounds - one of the highest of any Class 3-5 chassis cab built today.

Ford TorqShift 10-Speed Automatic Transmission

All Super Duty™ Chassis Cab models now feature a standard Ford TorqShift™ 10-speed automatic transmission, engineered to optimize drive ratios and improve shift performance. You can choose from five selectable modes — Normal, Slippery, Tow/Haul, Eco and Deep Sand/Snow — to match operating conditions. The Ford TorqShift 10-speed automatic transmission also offers Neutral Idle mode exclusively for Chassis Cab trucks. In Neutral Idle mode, the transmission automatically shifts into Neutral while stopped (if conditions allow it). It will then automatically resume shifting into Drive when you lift off the brake. This improves efficiency and reduces load on the engine, minimizing operating costs in the process.

Strong Front GAWR

Upfit bigger with the Ford Super Duty™ Chassis Cab. Some of the weight savings from the high-strength, military-grade, aluminum- alloy body were reinvested into heavier-duty axle and front suspension components, resulting in a maximum front gross axle weight rating of 3,401 kg.*

Durability Over The Long Haul

The Ford Super DutyTM is the toughest, hardest-working generation of Class 3–5 chassis cab we've ever built. The Super Duty is the only chassis cab built with a high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloy that's lighter than steel yet incredibly strong. Add in stronger axles, chassis and steering components, the fully boxed under-cab and a C-channel aft-of-cab frame made of high-strength steel, and you've got hauling and towing capability that you can depend on to deliver during the workday.

High-Strength Aluminum-Alloy Body

The Ford Super DutyTM is the only Class 3–5 chassis cab with a high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy body. * It's lighter than steel yet immensely strong. And it's also more dent- and ding-resistant and not subject to red rust corrosion. Beneath this lighter body is a fully boxed under-cab frame and a C-channel aft-of-cab frame built with high-strength steel.

AdvanceTrac™ With RSC™ And Trailer Sway Control

Super Duty™ comes with standard AdvanceTrac™ with RSC™ (Roll Stability Control™ ) and trailer sway control. AdvanceTrac and RSC use gyroscopic sensors and apply a combination of reduced engine power and selective wheel braking to help maintain control of the vehicle and the trailer in tow.

Capability Built In From The Ground Up

When you want to get the most done, on the job site or over the road, our chassis cab delivers with its ruggedly engineered fully boxed steel under-cab frame — plus beefy front suspension, chassis and driveline components. Today's Super Duty™ is ready for your next job, hauling and towing with impressive strength.

The Muscle To Move Your Business

Super Duty™ Chassis Cab gas engines — the 6.2L V8 and the available 7.3L V8 — deliver all the power you'd need for the tough everyday jobs you face on the job site or on the road. For heavy-duty performance and severe-duty service, go with the third-generation 6.7L Power Stroke™ V8 Turbo Diesel, the most powerful ever in a Ford Super Duty Class 3-5 chassis cab, also featuring best-in-class power-takeoff (PTO) torque.

Live-drive PTO With Mobile Mode

The available Live-Drive Power Takeoff (PTO) Provision with Mobile Mode* lets you power an aftermarket snowplow, pump, compressor or other accessory. The PTO provision is available across the entire engine lineup. An output gear connects directly to the engine crankshaft to power your PTO anytime the engine is running, whether the truck is in motion or stopped. Another big feature is "split-shaft" capability (diesel only) that allows multiple accessories to operate at the same time when the truck is stopped.

*Requires aftermarket power takeoff (PTO) accessory.

Best-In-Class* PTO Torque (Diesel)

The Super Duty™ power take-off (PTO) offers best-in-class* stationary 406Nm. of PTO torque output, giving you more power for upfits just when you need it.** For added efficiency, the 10 bolt PTO mounting pattern provides a more secure mount for larger PTO devices to take greater advantage of this increased torque.

*Class 3-5 Conventional Chassis Cabs
**Requires aftermarket power takeoff (PTO) accessory.

Upfitter Interface Module

Super Duty™ Chassis Cab has an available factory-installed programmable upfitter interface module that easily allows a direct controller area network programmable logic interface to control devices quickly and simply by using a laptop or notebook. With the complexity of vehicle electrical systems, upfitters need to properly and consistently connect their electrical equipment to a vehicle's buses or ports.

Smart Diesel Engine Exhaust braking.

The 6.7L Power Stroke™ Turbo Diesel incorporates a smart exhaust brake function. When activated with a button on the instrument panel, the engine brake restricts the turbocharger’s exhaust flow to generate back pressure and slow the vehicle. The main benefit is greater control while traveling downhill, regardless of vehicle load or road grade. Also, because the engine brake helps minimize having to apply pedal pressure, brake fade and lining wear are reduced, lowering the cost of maintenance. Three settings are available: On, Off and Auto. The Auto setting modulates engine braking as needed to help maintain the speed you want based on accelerator and brake pedal use.

Technology You Can Depend On

F-Series trucks are built on a reputation for outstanding strength and dependability established over decades of solid engineering performance. And now, Ford Super DutyTM builds further on that reputation with major advances in technology. Available driver-assist features such as Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking provide an experience of greater operating control and confidence.

Ford Co-Pilot360™ Technology

Ford Co-Pilot30™ Technology features are about supplementing your driving skills.* They can alert you to a potential accident and can help you react, possibly before an accident can occur. This advanced technology helps you feel in command when you're on the road.

*Feature availability varies by vehicle.

Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking

Hazards along the way can arise no matter where you’re headed. This feature scans the road ahead and can alert you to potential collisions with vehicles detected in your path. If an impact becomes imminent and you don’t take the corrective action, the brakes can apply automatically – but only if it’s necessary.*

*Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s attention, judgement and need to control the vehicle. Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking can detect pedestrians, but not in all conditions and does not replace safe driving. See owner’s manual for system limitations.
